UPSC 2017-18: Vacancy For Assistant Professor (Technical). Steps To Apply

Business Standard : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Professor (Technical) (ECE) who will be working in Training and Technical Education Department of Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research under Government of NCT of Delhi. Candidates willing to take up the post can apply for the same till 28th December, 2017 (Thursday). The number of vacancy is 7 reserved for UR (4), OBC (0), SC (2) and ST (1). The qualified candidate would be paid Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) plus Rs. 6,000/-(Academic Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 44200 /-p.m. approximately). So far the job location is concerned; the candidate would be posted at Department of Training Technical Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. New Delhi. The post carries probation of one year.
Eligibility Parameters:
Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant up to Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time..
Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology and Master of Engineering/Master of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or Master of Engineering/Master of Technology from a recognized University.

UPSC 2017: Civil Service Exam Tips To Revise Quickly Edit

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the annual Civil Service exams for the Central Government at three levels: Preliminary, Main and Interview.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the annual Civil Service exams for the Central Government at three levels: Preliminary, Main and Interview. The Candidates passing these exams secure the highly prestigious services such as Indian Foreign Service, Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service and the like. The Civil Service exam happens annually for filling numerous vacancies in the Central government department. Roughly 980 vacancies are said to be filled through the exam this year. The Detailed Application Forms (DAF) for Civil Service Exam 2017 has been announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The candidates who cleared the prelims will have to register themselves and fill in the DAF and move on for the Main exam that will, as per the official notification, be conducted from October 28, 2017 (Saturday) to November 11, 2017 (Friday). The qualified candidate seeking admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination must apply online through the Commission’s website (www.upsc.http://gov.in) by filling the Detailed Application Form (DAF) and uploading the scanned copies of the required document within the prescribed time limit so that DAF is submitted by the applicant on time. However, the OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates will be required to fill the OBC proforma along with the Detailed Application Form, on line.
Exam Centres and Overview: The Main Examination will be held at Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bangaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada. The candidates should note that under no circumstances will they be allowed to change in centre, optional subject, Indian language paper (paper-a) and medium of examination they have indicated in their filled online CS (p) application form.

UPSC-2017 Invites Applications for Assistant Professor Anatomy (III)

The Union Public Service Commission is inviting applications for the post of Specialist Grade-III to be hired by the concerned department under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Candidates willing to take up the post can apply for the same till August 31, 2017 (Thursday). The number of vacancies are eight for Unreserved Category (4), OBC (3) and ST (1) only. The qualified candidates would be offered the salary as per PB-3 i.e. Rs.15, 600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600/- plus N.P.A as admissible (Pre-Revised). The post carries probation of one year.
Eligibility Parameters:
Age: Not exceeding 40 years on the normal closing date. Not exceeding 45 years for ST and 43 years for OBC candidates on the normal closing date, in respect of posts reserved for them. (Relaxable for Govt. servants by 5 years in accordance with instructions issued by the Central Govt.)
Educational Qualification:
  1. A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956). UPSC-2017 invites applications for Assistant Mechanical Engineer

The Union Public Service Commission is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Engineer (NQA) Mechanical Engineering at Department of Defence Production managed by Directorate of Quality Assurance Naval under the Ministry of Defence. Candidates willing to take up the post can apply for the same till August 31, 2017 (Thursday). The number of vacancy is one reserved for the OBC candidates only. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test 2018 Schedule Announced

In 2018 Tancent will be held in the month of March.

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Tancent score is used for admission to Post Graduate courses ME, M.Tech, M. Arch, M. Plan, MCA and MBA in the state of Tamil Nadu. In 2018 Tancent will be held in the month of March. The procedure will start and the Application Forms will be available online in the third or fourth week of January 2018. In 2017 Tancet has been held on 25th March 2017 at 15 different centres in Tamil Nadu and the results were declared on 11th April 2017.

About Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)
Tancet examination is conducted in offline mode using paper and pen on an OMR sheet. The questions are objective type, multiple choice questions. There are four choices for every question and candidates have to choose the right option. There are 100 questions each carrying 1 mark thus total marks are 100. Time duration for the Tancet examination is 120 minutes (2 hours). There is also negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions though. The examinations in divided in to five sections namely Reading Comprehension, English Grammar and Usage, Analysis of Business Situation, Quantitative Ability and Data Sufficiency.
The eligibility criteria for appearing for Tancet 2018 is that the candidate should have completed graduation from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks (general category) and 15% marks (reserved categories). Candidates should either have completed 10 + 2 + 3 years of Education or B. Pharm / B. Arch / B. Tech / B. E. or 10 + 2 + AMIE or 10 + 3 years Diploma + AMIE. Candidates who have appeared for their final examinations are also eligible to apply; also there is also no upper age limit for attempting Tancet.(more)

In July, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had announced the result of the prestigious Civil Service prelims that was conducted on June 18, 2017 (Sunday). Now those who cleared the prelims will move on for the Main exam that will, as per the official notification, be conducted from October 28, 2017 (Saturday) to November 11, 2017 (Friday). (See the time table here) The Main exam requires the candidates to fill in a detailed application form online and submit the same online. It is to be noted that the online application form is available on the website of the Commission www.upsconline.nic.infrom August 17 to August 31, 2017 till 6pm. Candidates must note down these dates. The Commission conducts the annual Civil Service exams for the Central Government at three levels: Preliminary, Main and Interview. Filling up Application Online: Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully before filling up the application form. Online submission of application can only be made at website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions are available at the site. Candidate should read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options. Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. Candidates may please note that changes are not allowed in the online application, once it is submitted. The filling of online application contains two parts.
  • In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic information. On submission of details, candidate will be prompted to check the details and make correction, if any, in the application.
  • Part-II Registration consists of filling up Payment details (except for fee exempted candidates), selection of examination centre, uploading of Photograph and Signature and agreeing to declaration.

UPSC result 2016 topper Nandini to opt for IAS, wants to work in India

Nandini K R, who hails from Karnataka, has topped the prestigious civil services examination, the result of which was declared today by the UPSC.
She had taken the exam last year.
As many as 1,099 candidates have been recommended for various government services.
Nandini said she wants to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) to serve the people of India, rather become a diplomat.
"I want to join IAS and not IFS (Indian Foreign Service), as I want to be in India and serve the people. Though challenging, I will get an opportunity to learn and work for the people," Nandini told IANS from Haryana's Faridabad on phone.
Excited to be a topper as a woman and from Karnataka, Nandini said her friends were joking since a week that she would be a topper and should get ready to celebrate the occasion.
"I didn't believe when they said so. I told them not to joke but wait for the results. I feel very happy and also relieved as the anxiety is over," said Nandini, a probationary officer with the Revenue Department in the Union Finance Ministry since 2016 after she was selected in 2015 under the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) category.
"I appeared for the UPSC exams for the first time in 2014 and got selected in 2015 under the IRS category. I am at Faridabad for training in the revenue service," she said. Read more
